Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It has been quite a week here at St. Mary’s. The weather has been all over the map, our 4th graders impressed us at School Mass, a Thunderstorm shook the school, and we received new fun equipment to make the teaching and learning so much richer! And to top it all off, the Good Lord has given us great weather for the end of the week and for Sunday’s Oktoberfest!
It has been wonderful to see the students hitting their academic stride and settling into the groove of learning and growing. We are all seeing lots of growth and improvement, and I know you are also seeing it at home as well. It is so neat to hear students talking about what they are learning outside on the playground and soccer field, and this tells me that the learning has been relevant and meaningful. Please continue to be actively involved in your child’s learning and ask them lots of questions about what they are learning and doing at school.
This Sunday, we have an AMAZING event at our school. Oktoberfest will be going from 4:00-7:00 pm in front of the school, on Skoro Soccer Field, and our parking lot. Please come and join us in the fun. Bring some non-perishable foods (Canned Tuna, Canned Chili, Canned Tomatoes, Canned Pork & Beans, Packaged Mac & Cheese, Packaged Spaghetti, Packaged Ramen Noodles, Boxed Crackers, Boxed Cereal) so we can fill the trailer out front and help the St. Mary’s Food Bank continue the great work they are always doing. If we fill the trailer, the school gets a Free Dress Day! Please join us for this amazing event!!!
See you all at Prayer Square!

Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- When looking at our decorations for Oktoberfest, a Second Grader asked Mr. Olmes, “Is that glass filled with Beer or Root Beer?” Mr. Olmes responded, “It is Cream Soda!” How observant our students are!!!
