Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
From Math class outside on yoga mats to chalk art, our students and teachers are doing it all. Our teachers are constantly keeping our students (and me) engaged and participating in learning throughout the day in creative ways. In my class visits, I see a lot of positivity and a desire to learn. These are the things that make St. Mary’s great and will make this school year so successful. Although I am thankful for a chance to unwind this weekend, I am very excited to see our incredible students in action next week. Please take some time to read the information below because there is a lot of helpful and important information. God Bless!
If you want to get an inside peek into life at the school, check out my slideshows on my Google Classroom page.
Need to Know:
- Picture Day is Coming: On Thursday, October 1st, we will be holding our school picture day. Teachers will be sending home information on how to order pictures for your student(s).
- Clean Mask and Water Bottle: Please be sure to send your child to school with a clean water bottle and at least 2 clean masks. Student masks often become dirty or wet during the day and may need to be changed. Please be sure to send your student with two clean masks every day. We are trying to do everything we can to keep our school and our students as clean and safe as possible.
- It’s a Team Effort: Please continue to practice and reinforce safe and healthy practices in the home to minimize risk and exposure to COVID-19 AND other germs and illnesses that come our way.
Nice to Know:
- Important News from our School Counselor: It has been great seeing all of the students back at school this week! As we are settling back into the school routine, I wanted to let parents know that this year I will be presenting the Signs Of Suicide (SOS) program this fall, which is earlier than the past two years. Parents of students in 6th-8th grades have been sent letters with more information, however, I would like to offer the parent information night to any parents that are interested, regardless of what grade their students are in. Please see the flyer below for more information and click HERE to complete the sign-up form. I am also including a link to some resources from the SOS program, including recent webinars that may be of interest to parents. Please click HERE to view the webinar information and HERE to see the flyer.
- Milk Order: If you did not have a chance to order milk for your student(s) this year, you still have a chance. Please click HERE to complete the ordering process.
PTO Corner:
- School Lunches: Our new school lunch program seems to be starting very successfully. Thank you, PTO for getting this up and running!
