Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This was the first week with all of our students in the school for a full day, and it was wonderful! Seeing them working hard with their teachers and classmates always makes me smile. Teachers are diving deeper into the learning process and our students are eagerly working with them to maximize their time at school. As a school, our classes have also been participating in two collaborative art projects, and I anticipate sharing some pictures of them on my Google Classroom page.
One of the things that always strikes me is the positivity of our students. Whenever I see them in class or outside, they are always willing to give me a wave and smile that can be seen even behind a mask. It is a testament to the positive classroom and home environment that our teachers and families foster on a daily basis. This is what makes St. Mary’s the best school.. Thank you all!
In this week ahead, I pray that our Heavenly Father will continue to bless and protect our staff, students, and families. May he give us the graces to work hard and persevere through these challenging times.
If you want to get an inside peek into last week at the school, check out my slideshow on my Google Classroom page.
Need to Know:
- Clean Mask and Water Bottle: Please be sure to send your child to school with a clean water bottle and at least 2 clean masks. Student masks often become dirty or wet during the day and may need to be changed. Please be sure to send your student with two clean masks every day. We are trying to do everything we can to keep our school and our students as clean and safe as possible.
- It’s a Team Effort: Please continue to practice and reinforce safe and healthy practices in the home to minimize risk and exposure to COVID-19 AND other germs and illnesses that come our way.
Nice to Know:
- The amazing PTO peaches have arrived and are ready for pick up. If you purchased peaches and were not able to pick them up last week, please contact the school to arrange to pick up. Don’t wait too long because they are very fresh and do not last too long without proper refrigeration.

Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- Not a quote from a student, but a neat story. I (Mr. Olmes) was making copies outside the 6th-grade class when I noticed a student giving me a thumbs up. He kept looking at me intently, wanting me to return the gesture. When I gave him the thumbs up, he smiled, look at his classmates, and indicated that I gave him a thumbs up. It looked like he won a bet!
