Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This week has had a little bit of everything! We started on Monday morning with the great tradition of the blessing of the animals with Fr. John in the parking lot at Prayer Square. Our Kindergarten class finished up their Alphabet Bootcamp and made the coolest vests out of paper bags (see pictures). On Wednesday, our 2nd Graders did an amazing job with School Mass. Wednesday also brought the first round of school pictures and the completion of the first collaborative art project of the year (read more below). The week finished with our older students doing amazing presentations in the Gym in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. There were presentations about the various Latin American countries as well as presentations on famous Hispanics/Latinos, past and present. It was a great way to wrap up the week, and head into a much-deserved weekend. As you take time to rest and relax, please keep our school in your prayers and pray for our continued success and growth. Have a great weekend, and we will see you on Monday!

Nice to Know:
- Collaborative Art Project:
If you look through the photo album in my Google Classroom, you will see pictures of all our students standing in front of our Kindness Tree. This creation came from our Art Coordinator, Holly Olmes, and our amazing students. Mrs. Olmes created the black backdrop and the drawing of the tree, and our students made the colorful handprints with various words of encouragement. This activity reminds us that if all of us actively contribute to kindness in our school and world, it will be an amazing and truly beautiful place. Thank you Mrs. Olmes and all the students for their hard work and creativity in this project! If you are reading this newsletter, thank you, and click HERE to receive your St. Mary’s surprise. - End of the First Quarter:
The end of the First Quarter is on Friday, October 15th. Be sure to check your child’s grade books and communicate with teachers if you have any questions. Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- Not a quote, but I learned from one of our 5th-grade ladies that El Salvador has many volcanoes in the country, and it even incorporates the volcanoes into their Flag! How interesting!!!
