Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Spirit Week has been amazing! The kids really got into it and made the most out of the theme days. Be sure to check out the weekly slideshow to see all of the cool pictures of our kids and staff doing amazing things. As we move into this holiday weekend, our Catholic Faith reminds us to remember and pray for all of those who have moved on from this life and are awaiting their eternal reward. We also ask the saints in heaven to pray for us and our life and faith journey. I pray that you find some rest and relaxation with your friends and family.
Please be sure to read the whole newsletter. It has lots of important information. Finally, as always, be sure to subscribe to this newsletter to get it directly to your Inbox.
If you want to get an inside peek into life at the school, check the slideshows on my Google Classroom page.
Need to Know:
- Financial Support for Families: One of our amazing families shared this resource with me and asked me to share it with you all. It is an opportunity to receive a grant of up to $1500 per child or $3500 per family for educational expenses. Please click on the link to learn about the Strong Families, Strong Students grant. https://www.strongfamilies.idaho.gov/
- Be Vigilant:
If you have been paying attention to the news, you will see that the COVID-19 numbers are on the rise in our area. Please be vigilant in keeping you and your family safe by doing your part. By taking the necessary steps outside of school, you help us accomplish our goal of giving your student(s) a safe and effective face-to-face learning environment. - Clean Mask and Water Bottle:
Please be sure to send your child to school with a clean water bottle and at least 2 clean masks. Student masks often become dirty or wet during the day and may need to be changed. Please be sure to send your student with two clean masks every day. We are trying to do everything we can to keep our school and our students as clean and safe as possible.
Nice to Know:
- What is Día De Los Muertos? For many of us, Día de lo Muertos is a very special and familiar time. For others of us, Día de Los Muertos is unfamiliar and possibly confusing. Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- A PreK student was showing off his Spiderman costume to me, so I said, “You are Spiderman?!?!?!” He responded by saying, “I’m not Spiderman, I’m Luca! This is just my costume.” I love the candor of the young students at St. Mary’s!
