Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Fall is in the air, and if you are looking at the weather report, it appears that Winter is just around the corner. As a person who grew up in upstate New York, I have many fond memories of this time of year. The colors of trees, the smell of comfort food, and the crunching of leaves all bring back wonderful experiences in my life. This week has been no different here at school. For most of us, we were treated to our school trees changing colors and dropping their wonderful leaves for our students to stomp through, make piles, and jump in them. Our students here at school have also seen our school garden taking shape in a big way due to the hard work of one of our parents, Noah Dotson, and his landscaping company, Life in the Trenches Landscape and Labor. This project has been in the planning phase for a while now, and I am so happy to see it nearly finished because it will allow our students to start learning about plants, growing, and gardening in a new and interactive way.
In addition to the students here at school, we had another group of students up at the University of Idaho McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS). This was an incredible experience for our 5th and 6th-grade students to spend a week in the beautiful Ponderosa State Park and take in the natural beauty that God has given us. They learned about Science, Nature, and a whole lot more. For most of the students who participate in this experience, it is one of the most impactful activities/experiences of their elementary school lives. We are so happy and grateful for the opportunity to send some of our students to MOSS every year.
See you all at Prayer Square!
