Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It seems like Fall has arrived in the Treasure Valley. The mornings are crisp and cool and the leaves are turning all shades of colors. I love this time of year because it brings up so many good memories. This week, our students have been creating so many good memories here at school. From our PreK dragons, and the never-ending energy and positivity of our Kindergarten class to “Shoe Art” and learning about Mary Blair; our students, and their teachers are digging into learning and making the most of their time at St. Mary’s. Learning happens in our school in so many different ways, and I encourage you to ask your students, “What questions did you ask?” and “What did you learn?” every day when they come home.
As we move into the last two weeks of the first quarter, I encourage you to reach out to your student(s)’ teachers if you have any questions about their progress and learning so far. A strong school/home relationship is so important and helpful in helping our young minds maximize and achieve their highest potential. I hope you all are able to find some time for rest and rejuvenation. God Bless you all, and we will see you soon!
If you want to get an inside peek into life at the school, check the slideshows on my Google Classroom page.

- Be Vigilant:
If you have been paying attention to the news, you will see that the COVID-19 numbers are on the rise in our area. Please be vigilant in keeping you and your family safe by doing your part. Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- The Kindergarten class had just completed a challenging math lesson, and the teacher said “whoa, that was a difficult lesson!” Then, a student yells out “BUT WE DID IT, Mrs. McKay!” Then the whole class started cheering! I love hearing those stories!!!
