Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope you are all enjoying a restful weekend after another busy week at school. I am particularly proud of our two teachers, Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Davis who helped our school put on a fun and incredibly successful Book Fair. We welcomed many students and their families all throughout the week to buy some fun and interesting books. The proceeds of this Book Fair go directly to the school and allow us to grow and improve our library. I also want to thank the many volunteers who came to school and helped us run this fun and important event.
I want to let you know that Monday will kick off our school’s Kindness Week! Your children may be coming home and talking about the “Penny Challenge”. The idea is simple, the class who brings in the most change/money for their class will win a prize. The school then takes the money and buys Pumpkin Pies and donates them to one of the homeless shelters in Boise to help make their Thanksgiving a little brighter and more delicious. Last year, we were able to buy 32 pies (our current record)! Let’s try to beat that record this week. Also, on Monday, we will be recognizing our current and former service members. We invite you to come to Prayer Square in the morning to be recognized by the school and join us for a small reception after Prayer Square in the gym. it is going to be an amazing week with lots of opportunities for our students to demonstrate Kindness toward others.
As you enjoy the last day of the weekend, I pray that God will continue to bless you and pull you closer to his Sacred Heart. May his love and kindness always inspire us to be kind and loving to everyone; especially those most in need!
