Happy May Day and Teacher Appreciation Week!
I know I am not alone in saying what a heartwarming sight the Teacher Appreciation Week signs and balloons were to see pulling up to the school this morning. What a treat! Speaking of treats, the staff also received delicious Crumbl cookies later in the day. Thank you families, for spoiling us this week!
Last Friday I shared our plans for teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. Today I would like to share plans for the rest of the staff with you:

It’s hard to believe that the last day of school is just 18 days away and even less than that for our eighth graders! Everyone… every one of us has grown this year. This week our middle school is wrapping up MAP testing and everyone in grades 2nd-8th is taking the ARK test (Assessment of Religious Knowledge) this week. The students have worked all year to prepare for these tests and I am hopeful they will give them their best effort.
Last week 4th graders did a beautiful job hosting Mass. This week we will honor Mary, the Mother of our Church, at a May Crowning Mass on Wednesday May 3rd. It’s very lovely and I would encourage you to attend if you are able.
May will be a busy (and fun!) month as we close out the school year. Here are a some upcoming events to plan for:
- May 2nd- Spring Program 6 pm in the church. Students should arrive between 5:35-5:45 pm and will meet in their classrooms
- May 7th- PTO sponsored End of School Celebration 5-7 pm ( following 4 pm Mass) Click HERE to volunteer!
- May 13th- First Communion 5 pm Mass. All are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend.
- May 16th-18th- 8th Grade Retreat to the Monastery of St. Gertrude
- May 17th- Christian Leaders Mass
- May 19th- End of the fourth quarter
- May 23rd- Kindergarten Graduation 11 am in the church
- May 23rd- Pre-K EOY Celebration 9:30-10:30 am in the Pre-K outdoor area
- May 23rd- 8th Grade Graduation 6:30 pm in the church
- May 24- All School Bowling and Picnic. More details to follow
- May 25- Last Day of School! Honor Roll Awards after Mass
