Greetings Families!
I hope this email finds you well. Although I realize there were some big transitions last week, the campus felt vivacious with the sounds of contented students and teachers doing what they do best, teaching and learning. Fifth Grade did a lovely job hosting Stations of the Cross. First Graders were adorable and did an outstanding job helping with the celebration of Mass. Meteorologist Bri Eggers (KTVB News) visited the first-third grades as they are learning about community helpers and weather. Middle Schoolers have been accepting meal orders and preparing for this week’s Pi Day on Tuesday.
Here are a few reminders as we move into a new week:
- Pi Day meal orders can be picked up after school Tuesday.
- Registration for current families is happening now!
- There will be a school Town Hall Meeting this Wednesday, March 15th at 5:30-6:30pm. The location has been moved to the gym. Here is the Zoom link for the live stream:
- Thursday is the end of the quarter and noon release day. Students may wear green/St. Patrick’s themed shirts and uniform bottoms that day.
- Friday is a Professional Development/Non Student Attendance day.
- Happy Spring Break (March 20th-24th)!
As interim principal I want to remind you of my top priorities:
Reassure students- Open dialogue has continued with students as the need arises to explain transitions that have taken place. Mrs. Eiguren has been highly visible and available to all students. All staff are maintaining daily classroom schedules and as a school we are honoring traditional Lenten practices typically held this time of year.
Support teachers and staff- Teachers and staff have been assured that they will have daily support and resources as needed. Teachers and staff are appreciated, supported and united to make the final weeks of the school year academically and spiritually enriching and memorable.
Provide open communication- I have responded to emails and have met with parents to answer questions. I will be present, along with Superintendent Tammy Emerich and our school’s leadership team this Wednesday to present the school’s calendar and events for the final quarter of the school year.
I want to thank you again for your support. Blessings to you in this new week and I hope you have a wonderful Spring Break!
Sincerely,
Merrideth Dressler, M. Ed
