Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Once again, it has been a busy week here at St. Mary’s. From Barbie Bungee to Snow School to School Mass, and School Cleanup, we have been an active and busy group of learners. It is always a joy to see students actively engaged in the different lessons of the day, and it is particularly neat to see our students collaborating in the class activities to make the learning more meaningful. In addition to growing as Learners, Friends, Disciples, and Stewards, we have also been working hard to prepare for Catholic Schools Week. We are excited about all the events going on at school, and I encourage you to participate in the week’s events as much as you are able. Below is a list of events and activities that will be going on at our school. Be sure to read your teacher’s newsletter for specific information about the week’s events. In order to kick off Catholic Schools Week with gusto, I invite all of you to join us on Sunday for our Open House and our School Led Parish Mass. It is going to be an amazing day!
- Sunday, Jan. 29 Celebrate your Parish – Come to the 4:00 pm Mass in your school uniform.
- Monday, Jan. 30 Celebrate Community/Students – Class-themed dress. Teachers will be messaging.
- Tuesday, Jan. 31 Celebrate – Nation – Wear red, white, and blue. St. Mary’s Alumni Breakfast from 7:30 -8:30 in the gym.
- Wednesday, Feb. 1 – All Schools Mass at St. Mark’s

On a final note, I wanted to give you a final update on the results of our Candy Cane Crawl from this past December. For this student Fun Run, our goal was to raise $15,000 for our School Garden and the improvement of our back grassy area near our PreK classroom. We were so blessed to have tremendous support from current, former, and extended families. In the end, we were able to raise $23,000!!! THANK YOU all for your incredible support for our school! I am so excited to see the continued transformation and improvement of our school grounds and see how we can make the School Garden and the back grassy area places that look good, are durable, and enhance the curb appeal of the school.
I wish you all a restful and relaxing weekend, and I hope to see you Sunday at the Open House and Mass!
God Bless,
Brian
