Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
What an incredible first week of school! From our school Mass to seeing our Buddy Program start, our staff and students have packed this past week with lots of engaging and meaningful learning experiences. The energy, smiles, and focused faces have made Week 1 a huge success. I am so happy and grateful for all of our students and their families, and I know that this year is going to be a huge success. Need to Know:
- Back to School Night:
Tuesday is Back to School Night from 6:00-8:00 pm. We will begin in the church for a short presentation, and then families will move to the school to meet their teachers and learn more about their child’s classes. - Back to School Tailgate:
We will have a fun community event on Friday, August 26th. Mr. Olmes will send specific information about this event in an email this week.
Nice to Know:
- 4:00 pm Sunday Family Mass:
The 4:00 pm Sunday Family Mass has been a successful addition to the Parish Mass lineup and will become a permanent fixture at St. Mary’s. All are welcome, and we hope that lots of families will find this Mass a welcoming and calm environment to worship together with their children.
PTO Corner:
- Volunteer Opportunities:
In the coming weeks, the PTO will be sharing their calendar of events as well as opportunities for families to volunteer. Please look for information coming from the PTO. Also, the school will be sending out information about how families can volunteer at the school and the training that needs to be completed to volunteer at school. Stay tuned! - School Lunches:
If you are interested in ordering lunch or milk for your child, please click HERE and follow the instructions. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the school. - Next PTO meeting:
We encourage all families to be active participants in the PTO this year, the PTO meetings will be online via ZOOM. We hope this format will allow more families to participate and stay connected to the work of the PTO. The next PTO meeting will be on Wednesday, September 21st from 6:30-7:30 pm. The Zoom link will be sent out a few days before the meeting.

Strategic Plan Updates

We are currently looking for volunteers for these and other key initiatives. - From one of our young students, “I met my Buddy this week! We have so much in common. We both like Periwinkle, tigers, bunnies, giraffes, and soccer!” This is why our Buddy Program is one of the highlights at our school.
