Weekly Newsletter – May 3, 2024
Dear Parents,
No school on Friday, May 3, 2024 – Teacher In-Service
Thank you to the PTO and the Hispanic Knights of Columbus for a fantastic Dia de los ninos. It was incredible to see our community have a wonderful time enjoying the food and activities. Thank you to the organizers and all who volunteered.
In case you missed this last week, the Creegan Foundation generously provided the annual gift to the school. Thank you to the Creegan Foundation current board members, past board members and all who have donated to this foundation to be able to provide the school $60,925.67 in 2024. These funds are used to provide the best possible education while trying to keep our tuition affordable. Thank you for the generous gift. If you would like to learn more about the Creegan Foundation, please visit the website.
Please be on the lookout for a separate message concerning PTO and available positions for next year.
From Ms. Campanella
Thank you to the staff, families, PTO and the students for making my week full of love and appreciation. I cannot express enough how much each flower, note, card, and hug I received last week meant to me. The notes from the students were some of the sweetest things I have ever been given. I am honored and blessed to work in such an amazing community. Thank you to each and every one of you here for making this school so special.

Sterling Humanitarian Awards – Each year 8th graders are recognized for their humanitarian efforts. The recognition comes with a financial award which is applied to Bishop Kelly for tuition, fees, etc. This year Sophia Thomson and Ethan Stroup were awarded the honor. Thank you to the Sterling family and the other generous families that make this possible for our students. Congratulations to Sophia and Ethan.

All Teachers Returning – St. Mary’s is blessed to have all of our teachers returning next year. Not many schools are lucky enough to retain their staff. They are incredible individually and collectively. Next year we will be separating all combo classes. Mrs. Geile will be taking over the 4th grade. The fifth grade will be starting their day with Mrs. Russell for Religion and ending the day with Mrs. Davis. We will be leveraging the middle school teachers and Mrs. Geile to provide a top-notch experience for our fifth graders.
God bless.
