Dear Families,
On the Feast Day of St. Pope John XXIII, Fr. John let us know we all have the ability to be holy. He challenged us to be kind and thoughtful so much to others that they would see God in us. Fr. John’s message was very fitting as we continue to work on being Friends in support of the school learning expectations this month.
October is flying by. It is nice to be in a routine as we prepare to end the first quarter of school on October 20th (Half Day of School). Please continue to review the school calendar to stay up to date on the events and activities of the school and our community.
- The Cornhole tournament has been moved to December 2nd. The PTO has been working feverishly with Cornhole Unlimited to create a great event for our community. With so many things happening in October, our best date has been determined to be December 2nd. Please be on the lookout for additional information.
- Trunk or Treat – After careful contemplation, the PTO is going to be hosting Trunk or Treat, October 29th from 3:00-5:00. Please review the link document for more information including a QR code
- Dia de Los Muertos – Please review the letter sent home earlier this week from Mrs. Huerta about a special school tradition – Our students and our community will be involved in many more activities at JUMP – Here is a list complete list of events and activities from Gloria Munoz
- October 26/27 – Parent Teacher Conferences – Early Release (Oct. 26) and No School (Oct. 27) – We are working on a draft schedule that we will share with you early next week.
- Good luck to our fifth and sixth graders while they are in McCall at MOSS. It is a great week filled with learning that should peak their curiosity about a place they may be familiar with. Safe travels.
- MAP Reports were sent home this week – Please take time to review the Family Report. There was a link included in the message to a family toolkit with loads of information about the testing and the reports that follow. The link is NWEA.org/familytoolkit
- It has been great to see all of the families at Prayer Square and Wednesdays’ Mass. You are always invited to join us.
Thank you again for all your support and encouragement. God bless.
