As Disciples, we are called to follow the teachings of Jesus. This week we have been focusing on the Golden Rule, treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Important recognition:
- Please join me in congratulating Father Jesus Camacho on his 48 years as a priest as of December 25. Thank you Fr. Camacho for your service and guidance in our community.
- Christmas Music Program – Thank you Mr. Peters and all the students for a remarkable and inspiring Christmas concert. The talent and support was awesome.
- Maddie Gerard – Congratulations to Maddie as the first female TVCS District Wrestling champion. Well done Maddie and congratulations to all of our TVCS student athletes on successful seasons.
- Sara Cimbalik – Outside Decorations – Thank you Sara for making our school look festive and beautiful during the holiday season.

- Mardi Gras Gala – February 10, 2024 – Save the date for the social event of the year. Tickets will be available soon. We still have a few volunteer positions available if you have the time. Please use the following link – Volunteer
- Pastorelas – Please join us for our annual Pastorelas performance on Wednesday, December 20th in the cafeteria at 2:30
- Our Lady of Guadalupe – December 12 – There is a full day of activities planned at the parish, sponsored by the Hispanic Pastoral Council. Events include:
- Singing of Mananitas – 5:00 am
- Celebration of Mass – 6:00 am
- Continental Breakfast – after Mass in the gym
- Solemn Mass – 7:00 pm
- Dinner – following Mass – 8:30 pm
- Giving Tree – Thank you to all who have taken a tag. There are still a few remaining. Please come by and pick up a tag to help the Salvation Army help children in our community.
- Silent Knight – Bishop Kelly boys and girls are playing in the annual Silent Night. Crowd goes silent until the 7 point is scored. Lady Knight tip off at 6:00 followed by the boys at 7:30. Please go and support the Knights!
- BK Music Department’s Winter Concert – St. Mary’s has an incredible music program, as witnessed at the Christmas Concert. I encourage you to see how are students continue to cultivate their skills in high school.The Bishop Kelly High School Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Guitar ensembles are having their winter concert on Wednesday, December 13 at 7:00pm in the REG at BK (the gym located in the main school building just past the fountain at the front entrance). Admission is only $5 for adults, $3 for HS students, $2 for younger students and senior citizens, and kids age 5 or younger are free. The award-winning BK ensembles will be performing a wide variety of music sure to get you into the holiday spirit! Doors will open to the public at about 6:30pm. - School Confessions – December 8, 2:00 pm
- Altar Server Training – Thank you to Jason Jaszkowiak for training altar servers. Students will be trained on December 15th
