Weekly Newsletter – November 8, 2024
Dear Parents,
This month our emphasis is on being stewards. The students have done a wonderful job defining the qualities of a good steward. It is the development of an understanding that everything we have, our health, our friends, our school, our environment, is a gift from God. We need to look at all that we have as something special to care for and share with others. Please take some time at dinner to talk about what being a steward means to them.
Thank you – Dia de los Muertos – JUMP, Mrs. Huerta, Ms. Gloria and all the parents –
- The Altar was beautiful
- The Dancers were amazing
- The table at JUMP was remarkable
Everything captured the essence of what we value at St. Mary’s. THANK YOU!
Veterans’ Day – Please come and join us on Monday morning to honor our Veterans’ during Prayer Square. We will begin the day around the flagpole with a prayer, pledge of allegiance, and words about Veterans. We ask you to extend an invitation to join us to Veterans you know as well as their spouses and loved ones. All Veterans, their spouses, and everyone else is invited afterwards for coffee and pastries.
St. Mary’s Book Fair will be Tuesday November 5th- Friday November 8th – Before school, lunches and after school. Every student filled out a wish list. Books are the gifts that keep on giving.
Festival of Trees – Denim – Miss Hailey Yraguen is heading up the St. Mary’s – Festival of Trees entry. The theme of the tree is the same as our Gala, Diamonds and Denim. We are requesting donations of denim, blue or white. If you happen to have an old pair of jeans or a well worn jacket, please consider contributing to our cause.
Altar Serving – Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in Altar serving over the weekends. We encourage everyone to consider the opportunity. It is an exceptional way to live out our commitment to being stewards of our community. If you are interested, we can always use more Altar servers at every Mass.
Partnership Page – St. Mary’s community is full of many terrific individuals who contribute to our greater community and St. Mary’s through their businesses and careers. It is our objective to provide support and awareness to the families that support us. If you are shopping for products or services, I encourage you to check our partnership page first. I would recommend you to mark the page as a favorite and check back often.
