Dear Families,
It continues to be a great start to the school year. You can sense the teachers, students and families are adjusting to life back in school. We have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us. I look forward to working with the staff, the parish, the students and the families as we enjoy our Fall activities.
- Back to School Bash on Friday, September 15th. There will be games, food and fun for the entire family. This is a great opportunity to continue to build our wonderful community. At last check, we have 25 of 28 volunteer spots taken. Thank you to all who have been able to give some of their time to the event. There are 3 more spots if you are interested. - MAP Testing – 2nd through 8th grade starts next week. WE will be testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays this week and next. We will be testing first thing in the morning.
- Our Wednesday morning masses continue to be a source of inspiration. Father shared with us the importance of not only being kind and peaceful, but also being willing to apologize when we wrong others. It is an important lesson for all of us as we continue to focus on being Learners. You are invited to join us on Wednesdays for Mass. Please come and celebrate with us if you are available.
- If you are going to be excusing your student early for whatever reason, please try to let Mrs. Campanella and their teacher know..
- For the month of September, we are emphasizing being a Learner in support of our School Learning Expectations. Each day at Prayer Square we are talking about what being a Learner looks like at St. Mary’s.. You are invited to join us and I encourage you to talk with your student about being a Learner.
- Thank you to everyone who ordered peaches. Due to the weather, there is a delay in the harvest. You can pick up your order on September 22nd between 3:30 and 5:00 pm.
- Thank you to the Bishop Kelly administration, Principal, Dr. Sarah Quilici, President, Bill Avey and Director of Admissions, Angela Calovich, for joining us at Wednesday’s mass. We appreciate the engagement and support from Bishop Kelly.
