Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
What an amazing Catholic Schools Week! There were so many fun activities and memories made last week. From the School Led Parish Mass to the Theme Days, to the Family Lunch, to the Ringing of the Bells, Our school was a buzz of activity and excitement! One of my favorite events was the Alumni breakfast last Tuesday morning. We host almost 50 former students from years past. Most were current BK students, but we also had alumni who had graced our halls many years ago. It was so neat to hear from these former students and how St. Mary’s had helped to shape them into who they are today. St. Mary’s is such a special place and it has had such a positive impact on so many people. The week closed out on Saturday night with our first Ball and Auction since the 2018-2019 school year. What an incredible event! I was blown away by the venue, the decorations, and the quality and variety of the auction items. I want to give a big shout-out to Sarah Brown and Christina Cuevas for their incredible and tireless work to make this event such a success! Thank you so much for your love and dedication to our school.
It is easy to have a big letdown in energy after such an incredible week, but we are continuing to work hard and help our students learn as much as possible. We still have 6 weeks left in the 3rd Quarter, so keep up the good work and always put your best foot forward. There is a lot of important information under this message, so please be sure to read to the bottom for all the tasty tidbits. As we move forward in this new week, let us all remember the words and encouragement of Jesus Christ from his past week’s Gospel. Let us be the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and a city set on a hill. Let us not only live for our own sanctification but also be a means for others to encounter God and grow in holiness. Salt enhances and light illumines. We are called to do and be that in our daily lives. May our Heavenly Father give us the graces to give flavor and light to the world. Have a wonderful week!
God Bless,
Brian
