Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Well, it looks like winter has come early and is bringing all sorts of wild weather with it. Even though it is cold, snowy, and icy here, our students have been loving life this week. It is amazing how some snow angels and snowmen can make students from PreK-8th grade smile and laugh. It is the simple joys of life that make daily life at our school even more wonderful. In addition, our school’s Book Fair has been such a fun event and has allowed students and their families to pick up some fresh new reading material. Thank you, Mrs. Sullivan and all the volunteers that made this event such a success!
As we close out this week, I want to take a minute to recognize all of the men and women who have been in our nation’s Armed Forces and have worn the uniform with honor and integrity. In particular, I want to recognize Fr. John Worster (U.S. Army) and Jason Anton (USMC) for their dedication to our country. Their excellence and discipline are regularly seen here at school and we greatly appreciate all that they do for our community. When you see them, be sure to say thank you!
As we look to the week ahead, we will be kicking off our Kindness Week this Sunday with Rake Up Boise. Please look for my email earlier this week and the info below on how you can participate in this event. In the school week ahead, our teachers will have lots of opportunities for students to learn about what kindness looks like and how they can show others sincere kindness. As a school, we will be kicking off our annual Penny Challenge. This year, we are trying to raise enough money to buy 10 Thanksgiving boxes through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. That is $70 raised for each class. We ask that your child bring in their loose change (or bills) so that each class can raise $70 toward this goal and help 10 families in need. If we are able to raise enough for 10 boxes, there will be a school-wide reward.
Have a restful and relaxing weekend, and I hope to see you at Rake Up Boise. If not, we will see you at Prayer Square!
God Bless,
Brian Olmes

- Rake up Boise this Sunday:
This Sunday at 1:00 pm, our community will be participating in Rake Up Boise. This weekend, we once again have the opportunity to help families in need. If you are able to join us for this event, please fill out the Google form by clicking HERE. This will help the school know who plans to come so we can appropriately buy donuts and other goodies to fuel our bodies while we work.
