Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Fall has descended upon us here in Boise! The days are cooler and the leaves are starting to change colors and drop! This is my favorite season for so many reasons; especially the food! Here at St. Mary’s, we have been working hard on learning and growing as young scholars and children of God. Our First Grade class did an amazing job with School Mass this week, and I was so proud of their hard work and preparations. Our different classes have been locked into different learning, such as pumpkin art, learning about our Constitution, and learning how to sing a pre-lunch prayer to the tune of Star Wars! The students and the teachers constantly amaze me with their hard work, enthusiasm, and engagement! You definitely need to swing by sometime for a visit! Please read the entire newsletter below because there are LOTS of IMPORTANT pieces of information. Have a great weekend, and we will see you on Monday morning!
Need to Know:
- Parent-Teacher Conferences:
Next Thursday and Friday, we will be having our Fall Parent-Teacher conferences. If you do not have confirmation of the day and time of your conference with your teacher, please reach out to that teacher ASAP! We want to make sure you have time to meet with them and discuss the progress and success of your child! - School Led Parish Mass:
On Sunday, October 31st, our school will be helping with the 10:45 am Mass. it is an opportunity for our students to showcase their greatness to our parish community. We will be looking for volunteers in the next weeks to help with greeting, the readings, serving, and other jobs. Students who come to the Mass dressed in their school uniform will earn a Free Dress Pass for the next school day (Monday). This is a big event and we want to see as many families at the Mass as possible. Please mark your calendars and plan to come! - Say Goodbye to Shorts:
As we close out the First Quarter, we will say goodbye to shorts at school until the Fourth Quarter. This is in the Dress Code, but we wanted to remind you all. - Important Volunteer Information/Opportunities:
We are currently looking for volunteers for morning recess, lunch coverage, and lunch recess. We also have a need for a parent to teach Art to our 7th Grade class. In order to volunteer at school, you must have your Safe Environment certification up to date and have a current Diocesan background check. All in-school volunteers must be approved by and scheduled through Mrs. Campanella. If you are interested in signing up to be a volunteer, please email Mrs. Campanella.
