Week in Review:
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Sometimes short weeks don’t feel so short! I guess that is because our incredible students are doing so much learning and growing here at our school. There has been so much energy in our building and it is an exciting thing to see. We have almost finished the MAP testing for all of our students and our teachers are looking forward to contacting you regarding the progress of your student(s). We have been seeing so much progress from our students and we are excited to share that news and explain how they will continue to grow and be successful in the weeks and months ahead.
Please be sure to read the whole newsletter. It has lots of important information. Finally, as always, be sure to subscribe to this newsletter to get it directly to your Inbox.
If you want to get an inside peek into life at the school, check the slideshows on my Google Classroom page.
Need to Know:
- The 300 x 300 Campaign:
We are in the final weeks of our 300 x 300 campaign, and I am so happy to announce that we have crossed the $76,000 mark. We are hopeful that we can hit our goal of $90,000 by the end of February, but we need your help! If you want to read more about the campaign, click HERE. If you would like to contribute to this campaign, you can either send a check to the school or give directly online by clicking on the following link: https://www.stmarys-boise.org. Look for the red DONATE button in the center of the page to contribute. - Idaho Business Review Reader Rankings 2021:
Please take some time to complete the IBR survey. It is open until this coming Monday, January 25th. On the second page of the survey, look for Question #10 where it asks about the Best Private Elementary Schools. Our school’s name is not listed, but if you choose “Other”, you can type in our school’s name. Please type the following in the space provided, “St. Mary’s Catholic School (Boise)”. Please be sure to write “(Boise)” because there is another St. Mary’s School in Moscow. Here is the link: https://idahobusinessreview.com/reader-rankings/ You can only vote once per web browser. This means you can vote once with Chrome, once with Microsoft Edge, and once with Firefox. Let’s show everyone how great St. Mary’s is and why we need to be on that list! Vote early and vote often!!!
Nice to Know:
- Where is Mr. Olmes’ weekly slideshow???
If you are wanting to see this week’s and the past weekly slideshows, you need to access my Google Classroom page. All of the students in school should have been added and/or invited to my Google Classroom. Once you are in my Classroom, look at my “Stream” and you will see links for each of the weekly slideshows. When you click on them, it will direct you to an album where you can see all of the neat things happening at the school.

Wisdom from Our Young Scholars:
- When one of our young men showed his teacher his new shoes, the teacher said “Those are sharp-looking shoes. Looking good.” When the young man strode away, he said, “Yea, it’s a choice!” You really can’t make this stuff up! HA!
