Dear St. Mary’s Families,
Although last week was short, our school was not short on learning opportunities and fellowship. Sixth Grade did an excellent job hosting prayer at Prayer Square each day and leading Mass on Wednesday. Fourth Grade attended the annual Wagons Ho! field trip and learned about the history of the state of Idaho. Third grade researched and wrote biographies of famous African Americans. Many students enjoyed wearing pajamas and eating pancakes for lunch last Thursday as an auction gift. It was a fun week!
I loved seeing so many of our school families yesterday at the school hosted parish Mass. Deacon Gene Fadness gave an inspirational homily about God’s mercy for Divine Mercy Sunday and our St. Mary’s students were exceptional in carrying out their responsibilities in a reverent fashion. Fr. John announced that Fr. John Kucera, who is currently Parochial Vicar at Mary Immaculate Parish in Saint Anthony, Idaho, will be our new pastor. We will savor the time we have left this school year with Fr. John Worster and will be ready to welcome Fr. John Kucera to our sweet St. Mary’s community.
